9/25/07 - Request for fire department to respond at 23:30 to 2199 Ferguson Rd for the nuisance burn. 2411 with 2441 and 5 members responded. Person was having a controlled burn of trash in a burn barrel. Fire was extinguished by homeowner. Crews returned into service at 23:47.

9/24/07 - At 15:34 to 2199 Ferguson Rd for the out of control burn. 2411, 2471, and 2441 with 5 people responded to find a medium sized brush fire being blown into woods. Crews quickly dowsed the flames and were back into service at 16:09.

9/19/07 - 2319 Mill Street in the Hamlet of Orleans. Mutual Aid to Clifton Springs (with Phelps) for the chimney fire at 18:46. 2411, 2471, 2441 responded with 9 members. Due to smoke detectors in the house. Fire was contained to chimney and surrounding area, with minimal damage to house. Seneca Castle returned into service at 20:25.

9/15/07 - 2828 Orleans Rd for a hit and run MVA at 04:18. 2411, 2471 responded with 9 to a car in the road, no driver found. Remained on scene for traffic control during police investigation. Returned to service at 06:36.

8/24/07 - Automatic Mutual aid with Hopewell FD at 09:14 to 3216 Spangle St. Hopewell requested Seneca Castle standby in station. Found to be burnt toast. Both Departments returned into service at 09:34. Five members stood by at station.

8/11/07 - At 03:50 Seneca Castle Fire was dispatched to an MVA unknown injuries at 2340 Routes 5&20 for a car that went over the guardrail and hit a concrete block at the bridge. 2411, 2471 responded with nine members. Finger Lakes Ambulance signed off the one person in the vehicle. SCFD remained on scene while vehicle was towed for lighting and the smell of fuel in the area. SCFD returned into service at 0451. 8/8/07 - SCFD was dispatched for another automatic alarm later at 10:24 at 3490 Gates Rd. Upon arrival for 240, an audible alarm could be heard however noone was home at the time. Advised dispatch of nothing showing, alarm company would be sending representative later. Returned in service at 10:42. Pumper 2411 responded as well as 5 members.

8/8/07 - Dispatched at 07:34 to 2930 County Road 20 for smoke detector going off, however no sign of smoke or fire. SCFD responded with 2411 and 5 members. replaced batteries and tested system. Returned at 07:54.

8/1/07 - Seneca Castle with automatic mutual aid from White Springs was dispatched at 17:08 to 3153 Gates Rd for the possible fire in the attic, smoke coming from eaves. Upon arrival, 2401 requested full response from Stanley Fire Co. Due to high heat, members were quickly exhausted and crews rotated every 15-20 minutes. Geneva FD was also called to the scene for a thermal imager and manpower. Cause was found to be from an overheated ceiling fan catching blown insulation on fire. SCFD responded with seven, and returned in service at 18:17. Click Here for Pictures

7/22/07 - Seneca Castle was requested to respond to 3429 County Road 20 for a rubbish fire. Six members responded with 2411, 2471 to extinguish the burn.

6/16/07 - Request for FD response to Melvin Hill Rd and County Rd 4 for a one car MVA with unknown injuries called in by Finger Lakes Ambulance. 2411, 2471 responded with 8 members to a car off the road and into the trees. SCFD returned in-service shortly after arriving on scene.

6/7/07 - Seneca Castle Fire Company was called with Finger Lakes Ambulance at 9:20pm to County Road 4 and Jones road for the MVA unknown on injuries. 2411, 2471 responded with 11 to a 1 car into a phone pole with major damage to car. No injuries reported, no damage to pole. SCFD remained on scene for traffic control while car was towed. Click Here for Pictures

6/6/07 - At 11:30am the fire department was called to 3501 County Road 20 for the Automatic Alarm at BOCES. 2411, 2471 responded with 3, with automatic mutual aid from Stanley FD.  On scene it was found the alarm went off due to a malfunction in the system.

6/3/07 - The fire department was called to 3419 County Rd 20 for a water problem at 5am. 2411, 2471 responded with 7 members to find that an A/C unit drainage pipe had plugged, and filled a duct with water, which then broke, and water then leaked thru the ceiling onto the first floor. SCFD stayed on scene until almost 6:30am to clean up and have red cross and code enforcement on scene.

5/30/07 - SCFD called to respond to 2800 Orleans Rd, Hemdale Farms, at 8:20pm for the automatic fire alarm. Responding with 2411, 2471, and 4 members, it was found that the alarm was set off by steam, and there was no duty.

5/25/07 - Seneca Castle was also called to duty later at 3:50 pm for a 2 car MVA roll over at County Rd 20 and County Rd 4. 2411, 2471 responded to the scene with 8 personnel to find 1 car off the road on its top, and one truck with moderate front end damage. No major injuries were reported. SCFD stayed on scene to provide traffic control while the cars were towed.

5/25/07 - At 11am Seneca Castle was called for a 2 car MVA at the corners of Orleans Rd and County Road 4. 2411, 2471 responded to find that a car had hit a parked pop up camper and drove off. SCFD reported the incident to OCSO with plate numbers from the car (a neighbor had witnessed the incident) and returned with no duty.

5/21/07 - At 9pm SCFD was also called to respond to 2734 Orleans rd at Hemdale farms for a fire starting woods on fire. SCFD responded with 2411, 2471, 2441 and 8 members. Once on scene it was found to be a controlled burn not threatening anything, Seneca Castle returned in-service.

5/21/07 - At approx 10:20am Seneca Castle Fire Dept. was called to County Road 20 just north of the BOCES school for the smell of natural gas. SCFD responded with 2411, 2471, and 2441 to the scene to find that a gas main had been ruptured by a construction crew. Crews remained at the scene until 12pm to provide scene safety until the gas company could arrive.
